Students Grow in Knowledge

​At Our Mother of Sorrows, our students have worked hard to grow in knowledge during this trimester. I have seen our children beginning to master multiplication facts, their letters sounds, complex algebraic expressions, and learn the cause and effects to historical decisions.

Outside the classroom, the children have also been growing in knowledge. This season many of our fourth to eighth grade students have participated on the basketball and volleyball teams. The teams have learned how to dribble, bump, and work as a team to compete against other teams in our league. Over the next few weekends, our students will compete in the JV and Varsity tournaments. Best of luck to our student athletes! Go Mustangs!

We also had several students register and compete in the Our Mother of Sorrows Talent Show at the Fiesta. Congratulations to two of our middle school students who shared their talents!

Thank you to our Student Council for organizing our first pep rally of the year. The knock-out tournament was fun for everyone. Congratulations to our winners!

On behalf of the student body, we also thank the Student Council for the donation of the new basketball for the students to use!

En Our Mother of Sorrows, nuestros estudiantes han trabajado duro para adquirir conocimiento durante este trimestre. He visto a nuestros estudiantes comenzar a dominar las operaciones de multiplicación, sus sonidos de letras, expresiones algebraicas complejas y aprender la causa y los efectos de las decisiones históricas.

Esta temporada, muchos de nuestros estudiantes de cuarto a octavo grado también han participado en los equipos de baloncesto y voleibol. Los equipos han aprendido trabajar juntos en equipo para competir contra otros equipos de nuestra liga. Durante los próximos fines de semana, nuestros estudiantes competirán en los torneos JV y Varsity. ¡Mucha suerte a nuestros estudiantes atletas! ¡Arriba Mustangs!

También tuvimos unos estudiantes que compitieron en el Show de talentos en la Fiesta de Our Mother of Sorrows . ¡Felicidades a dos de nuestros estudiantes que compartieron sus talentos!

Gracias a nuestro Consejo Estudiantil por organizar nuestro primer celebración de maestros y estudiantes del año. El torneo fue divertido para todos. Felicitaciones a nuestros ganadores.
