Ways for Students to Help at Home
Students can not always go out into the community, but that does not mean we cannot encourage them to help others with our actions and prayers!
Here are a few ways that we can lovingly serve others:
Do something extra at home to help out a family member
Read to a younger sibling
Wash the dirty dishes
Take out the trash
Write a letter to a friend or family member
Learn about Catholic Social Teachings and talk to your family about how you might be able to get involved
Life and Dignity for all People
Call to Family, Community, and Participation
Rights and Responsibilities
Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
Solidarity
Care for God's Creation
Help feed the hungry by bringing a canned food to Saint Vincent de Paul Society
Pray for peace in our world
Middle School Justice Days
7th Grade supports the Community Food Bank. During their day, the students attended Mass in the morning, and they learned about hunger. Then, they went to the Community Food Bank where the students packed 648 boxes of food which will go to 648 seniors in need in Tucson as well as 1,495 bags of food that will go to 747-1,495 individuals and families in Tucson. In total, they packaged 44,200 pounds of food to support local people in Tucson.
