OMOS School Board is a body of dedicated individuals from both the school and parish. As a board and individually, we feel a strong connection to this school and parish community. We work to promote our school and its many strengths. We assist our principal and pastor in making decisions for the strengthening of our parish school. Members are divided into subcommittees to brainstorm ideas and advise action in the following areas:
1. Develop a strong Parents' Organization for the purpose of community building and fundraising 2. Work with our pastor and principal to develop and assist in the recruitment of students, assess the needs of faculty and staff, and strategize to market our school to the larger community 3. Advising administration and faculty in ways to strengthen our religious and academic program 4. Review and revise bylaws for the efficient implementation of the work of the board
Members of the board meet formally monthly to discuss progress made in these areas, brainstorm ways to further meet our goals, and to provide our best guidance in an advisory capacity to both principal and pastor. Catholic School boards are advisory boards to pastor and principal in policy and procedure, financial and strategic planning.
