Christmas is Coming!

12/10/2019

I hope that all the families in attendance for the Christmas Concert enjoyed the event. Thank you to the many parents and volunteers who helped to make the event possible!

We now have 2 weeks until Christmas Break, and so I invite everyone to review the important information for the upcoming events:

Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration: On December 11, all families are welcome to come to the beautiful event. The final prayer for the Novena will be at 5:45 p.m. in the Church, and Mass will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Following the Mass, all are welcome to the Parish Hall for fellowship and fun!

Mother/Son Event: On December 14th all mother or mother figures are invited to bring their sons to the Parish Hall for a night of laughter, games, dinner, music, and memories. Tickets are on sale, and must be purchased before the event. This is a great annual event, so we hope to see you there.

Communal Penance: On December 15th, all are welcome to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the Church beginning at 7:30 p.m., and there will be many different priests available for the sacrament. This is a great way to prepare for Christmas.

Nutcracker and Strings: On December 18th at 9:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall, families are invited to watch the 1st and 2nd graders perform their version of "The Nutcracker." Following the performance, the students who perform in the strings group directed by Ms. Chambers will perform their holiday school concert at 10:00 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

School Spelling Bee: On December 18 at 1:00 p.m. the winners from the spelling bee competitions in the classrooms for grades 4-8 will compete for the title of the best speller in the school. The winner will represent our school at the Spelling Bee Competition for the Diocese of Tucson during Catholic Schools Week.

Cookies, Carols, and Cocoa: On December 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall, all are welcome to join us in this fun holiday event. The students from the preschool and kindergarten will perform Christmas songs. Following the concert, there will be cocoa, and families are invited to bring a dozen cookies to share.

Las Posadas: On December 20 immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass, all are welcome to join us for the annual school Las Posadas where the student recreate the journey of Mary and Joseph as they try to find room upon their arrival to Bethlehem.

Christmas Vacation: From December 21-January 5th, the students will be on Christmas vacation. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6 at 8:00 a.m. We hope that everyone will have a blessed Christmas!
