Jr Hi grading criteria

Students will receive daily grades based on:

1. sight reading (10 pts)

2. participation (10 pts)

3. assignments (written or performance-value differs)

Also, students will also need to complete 1 of the following activities every nine weeks

Students may repeat the same activity. (40 pts)

1. attend a live musical event - hand-write a one page summary including name of group, type of music/dance performed, instruments used, etc. School performances other than during school hours are okay.

2. watch a video of a musical from the approved list -hand -write a one page summary including character names, songs, story line

3. take part in a musical performance/dance/play*

School performances that are extra-curricular such as band, talent show, choir, etc are okay..

* participating in Jammin for Jesus, the OMOS Teen choir, will fulfill the requirements for taking part in a musical performance/dance/play.

Jammin sings at the 6pm Teen Mass on the 2^nd, 4^th and 5^th Sundays of each month. We meet at 5:15pm for rehearsal

1^st quarter due date: October 12

2^nd quarter due date: December 17

3^rd quarter due date: March 7

4^th quarter due date: May 9

The Angels sing at the 9am Mass on the 1^st Sunday of the month and the 10:45am Family Mass on the 3^rd Sunday of the month
